General information

When is the show?

The Great British Shooting Show is held on 12, 13 and 14 February 2027 – Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Where is the event?

The show is held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham, B40 1NT. It is one of the best connected venues in the country, with the airport and Birmingham International station right next door.

When does the show open?

The show is open from 09:00 until 16:00 on all three days.

Can I bring my child?

Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult while attending the show. This policy is in place to ensure a safe and responsible environment for all.

Do I need a licence to visit the show?

No. The show is open to all visitors and a firearms licence is not required to attend.

A valid licence is only required if you intend to purchase regulated items at the show. For further guidance on firearms licensing, please consult your local police force or the BASC website.

Buying and using your ticket

How do I buy a ticket?

You can buy your tickets online. For the best value and to beat the queues, we recommend buying in advance of your visit. It is possible to buy on the day at the gate, but they will be slightly more expensive.

Are there any concessions?

We do not currently offer concessionary ticket rates. All visitors require a standard admission ticket.

Are tickets day dependent?

We strongly encourage you to book for the day that you intend to visit. We understand that sometimes things don't go to plan and that you may need to attend on a different date.

What is your refund policy?

As all tickets are issued digitally, ticket purchases are final and non-refundable.

Getting to the show

How do I get to the show?

Getting to the NEC Birmingham is easy by car, train or public transport.

By car

The NEC is clearly signposted from major motorways including the M42, M40 and M6. Use postcode B40 1NT in your sat nav. Once on site, simply follow the signs for the Great British Shooting Show, which will direct you to the appropriate car parks and halls.

By train

Direct services run from Birmingham New Street to Birmingham International, which serves the NEC and takes around 15 minutes. The station is connected directly to the NEC complex. Plan your journey via Trainline or National Rail.

By air

Birmingham Airport (BHX) is right next door to the NEC. Take the free Air-Rail Link to Birmingham International station (it runs frequently and takes around 90 seconds), then walk straight into the NEC via the covered walkway.

By bus or coach

Many bus and coach services stop at Birmingham Airport, located next to the NEC. From there, take the free Air-Rail Link to Birmingham International station, which runs every two minutes and takes around 90 seconds.

Is there car parking?

Parking at the NEC is free for visitors to the Great British Shooting Show. When you arrive on site, simply follow the illuminated signs for "Shooting Show", which will direct you to the appropriate car parks.

Please ensure you keep your event wristband on when leaving the car park, as this confirms your eligibility for free parking.

Can I stay overnight?

There are many great hotels and accommodation options close to the NEC Birmingham. Take a look at the nearby options to plan your stay.

Are there disabled facilities?

Yes. The NEC Birmingham is an accessible venue with step-free access, lifts and accessible facilities for visitors with reduced mobility.

Are there places to eat?

Yes. Food and drink will be available at the show, including options in the food court. There are also a variety of bars and restaurants located throughout the NEC.

Is there WiFi at the event?

Yes. Free visitor WiFi is available across the NEC and can be accessed on smartphones, tablets and laptops. This service is suitable for basic browsing, email and social media.
